About Me

Born and raised in NE Philadelphia PA. I joined the Air Force in 1973 and retired in 1997. I was stationed at Shaw AFB, SC 1973-76, Howard AFB Panama 1976-82 (met my wife and had two sons), Minot AFB, ND 1982-85 (first time my wife and sons were ever in the states), Howard AFB, Panama 1985-89, Shaw AFB, SC 1989-97 (retired).

After retirement I sold used cars and mobile homes until 9/11/01. After 9/11 I felt a need to support our troops and accepted a contract with Dyncorp in Muscat, Oman where I spent two years. While there in 2003,  a friend (I think) asked me to manage a contract in Iraq. I accepted and returned home in late 2005.

After my return I looked for work for 9 months and then took the worst job of my life. I was laid off after 8 months and immediately walked into a position as Internet Sales Manager for a small retail store. After the boss figured he knew everything I did, he laid me off. He soon went back to where he had been before I arrived.

It took 8 months to find a position with the State of South Carolina, where I remain today. I live in Sumter SC with my wife of 31 years and my sons and grandson(s) are nearby.
